What should one do with one free day in the Vancouver area ? We’ve seen already the close vicinity, so we went for a one day trip to Vancouver Island. Not sure why, but I decided to take the plan to Nanaimo instead of Victoria.

Obviously the best way to get there is the water plane!

One can do this directly from Downtown Vancouver, directly at the conference center. They offer direct connection to nearby cities, but as well Whistler, Seattle and some round trips around Vancouver.

On Vancouver Island I got a small car, and had 6 hours to visit the island… which is not a lot. So the decision was to go north, talking the coastal road, then turn inside towards English River Falls and then continue to Cameron Lake and Cathedral Grove.
